There’s something extra special about walking into a space to an instant feeling of at ease and that’s exactly the vibe at Stephen & Co Salon. This branding session came together through a trusted referral from their web designer, Kirsten Pereira, owner of Middle Child Design Studio, who recommended my services when it was time to refresh their imagery. (Proof that great collaborations really do come full circle.) Stephen & Co needed updated photos of their beautiful salon space, professional headshots of their team, and cohesive visuals that would elevate their website and overall brand presence.

The Team
From the moment I arrived, the entire team was warm, welcoming, and genuinely excited about the process. We started with photographing the salon itself, capturing the details that make Stephen & Co feel both elevated and inviting. From there, we moved into clean, polished headshots approachable but professional, perfect for introducing each stylist to both new and returning clients.
And then… I nudged them just a little further.

The Nudge
Once everyone was comfortable, we added in some action and personality shots, stylists in motion, natural interactions, and those in-between moments that truly tell the story of a salon. These images are often the ones clients connect with the most because they show not just what you do, but how it feels to be there.

The Result
The result? A well-rounded branding gallery full of images that feel authentic, energetic, and unmistakably them.
Honestly, if I didn’t live nearly an hour and a half away, Stephen & Co would absolutely be my go-to salon…no questions asked. Their talent, hospitality, and sense of community shine through in everything they do, and it was such a joy to help visually bring that to life.
If you’re local to them, you’re in very good hands. And if you’re a service-based business thinking about updating your brand imagery—this is your sign.
